Biography

Jill S. Tanz, J.D. is a mediator and attorney with many years of experience working in Chicago. Ms. Tanz founded Chicago Mediation LLC to offer alternative dispute resolution services to the business community of Chicago. Ms. Tanz received a BA, Summa Cum Laude, from Lafayette College, Easton, PA and a JD degree from the University of Chicago. She was elected to Phi Betta Kappa in 1972. She worked as an associate and partner in the law firm of Sachnoff & Weaver, Ltd for nine years specializing in real estate and general corporate law. She was Facilities Manager at the Bernard Zell Anshe Emet Day School for three years where her responsibilities included coordination of the design, construction and move into a new 20,000 square foot school addition. She has held leadership positions in numerous community organizations including the Menomonee Club, Old Town Art Fair, Wrightwood Park Advisory Council, and Bernard Zell Anshe Emet Day School.
