Professional Experience:
Ms. Tanz is in Adjunct Professor at DePaul University College of Law where she teaches Mediation. She conducts mediation certificate courses for the Center for Dispute Resolution at DePaul University College of Law and is a coach and trainer for the Center for Conflict Resolution’s mediation courses.
Ms. Tanz is a member of the American Arbitration Association's Roster of Mediators and a certified mediator in both the Circuit Court of Cook County Major Case Court-Annexed Civil Mediation Program and the Chancery Division Mediation Program. She also has been a certified mediator for the Center for Conflict Resolution since 2002. She has mediated over 180 cases in the following areas: consumer and commercial disputes, dissolution of business disputes, breach of contract, landlord/tenant matters, partnership disputes, estate disputes, juvenile cases, restorative justice and community disputes.
Jill Tanz recently presented Mediation Skills programs for both the Association for Conflict Resolution Chicago Chapter and the Chicago Bar Association Section for Dispute Resolution. In prior years she arranged programs on skills and ethics as Co-Chair of the Association for Conflict Resolution, Chicago Chapter, Professional Development Committee
